Ghost peppers are considered one of the world’s hottest chili peppers, rated at over a million Scoville units, a measurement of spiciness. Ghost peppers are so spicy that some restaurants put warnings on their menus, but some bigger chains are incorporating their flavor in limited-time offers and new menu items.

Ghost peppers are in the Adoption stage. They are gaining traction on menus, but are still considered unique. Ghost peppers can be found at independent casual-dining and progressive fast-casual restaurants.
