Former Tender Greens executive to help push digital and loyalty programs
Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza has named Shivram Vaideeswaran chief marketing officer, the company said Friday.
Vaideeswaran will be responsible for “defining the brand voice,” the company said, as well as innovation and product strategy, and helping the chain expand its digital and loyalty platforms.
He takes over marketing for a rapidly growing fast-casual pizza chain that recently received an investment from the private-equity group Brentwood Associates and has plans to generate $1 billion in system sales by 2022.
Vaideeswaran is “a dynamic, forward-thinking leader who understands our brand voice and has a proven track record in identifying insights that improve the guest experience,” Blaze Pizza CEO Jim Mizes said in a statement.
Most recently, Vaideeswaran was vice president of marketing for Tender Greens, where he worked on the brand’s repositioning to increase its relevance to younger consumers. He previously held various marketing roles at Taco Bell and was head of global marketing for Taco Bell International.
