The Order Facilitator
Buffalo sauce stains on your smartphone? Blame Stacy Peterson. After driving digital innovation at Wingstop as chief information officer, Peterson was promoted last year to the new position of chief experience officer, where she strives to create faster, more creative and more efficient ways to get wings into customers’ hands.
Known for: Under Peterson’s leadership, Wingstop has diversified and enhanced the ways fans interact with the chain, including social media ordering and voice-activated ordering. Those moves have helped Wingstop grow digital sales to more than 20 percent of sales, according to CEO Charlie Morrison.
Power move: After spearheading a digital ordering process that connected customers with Twitter and Facebook, the next step was Amazon’s Alexa. Wingstop introduced ordering for Amazon Prime customers in 20 cities last year.
What’s next: Wingstop is testing locations for delivery, partnering with DoorDash. It began testing the service in Austin, Texas, in late December after successful tests in Las Vegas and Chicago. “We continue to see a growing expectation for convenience from today’s consumer and have been very pleased with how our guests have responded to our delivery offering thus far,” Peterson said in a statement at the time.
