CANTON Mass. American Express has teamed up with Dunkin' Donuts to offer users of the chain's shopping card a reward when they recharge the card.
For a limited time, American Express members who use any Amex card to sign up for Auto-Recharge, the automatic reloading feature of the Dunkin' Donuts Card, will receive a 20-percent bonus. As part of the promotion, which runs through March 31, American Express will add an extra $5 onto each Dunkin' Donuts Card for every $25 Auto-Recharge.
"American Express is 'charged up' to be the 'Official Card Partner of Auto-Recharge' from Dunkin' Donuts," said Curtis Wilson, vice president and general manager of restaurant and lodging for American Express Merchant Services. "Through this great partnership, we will deliver added benefits to our card members, and they can now enjoy more coffee, muffins and doughnuts on us."
David Tryder, Dunkin's director of interactive and relationship marketing, said: "This partnership with American Express will help us deliver more value, more rewards, and more convenience for our customers."
Dunkin' Donuts card users who sign up for Auto-Recharge also will get additional benefits, including in-store and online offers and product news pertaining to their local market.
Dunkin' Donuts, a subsidiary of Canton-based Dunkin' Brands Inc., has about 8,800 locations in 31 countries.
