Patrick Walls, former chief operating officer of Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop Inc., has been promoted to the role of president, effective immediately, the company said Tuesday.
Walls, who served as COO for two years and oversaw Capriotti’s 50-percent unit growth during that time, helped secure franchise commitments for more than 200 restaurants over the next five years. Las Vegas-based Capriotti’s currently has about 70 company-owned and franchise locations in 12 states.
Previously, Walls held positions at McAlister’s Corp., parent to McAlister’s Deli, from 1996 to 2009, eventually becoming chief franchise officer and general counsel.
Ashley Morris, who previously held the role of president, will remain as chief executive officer.
“Patrick has a deep understanding of our industry and, more importantly, our brand, making him an incredible asset to the Capriotti’s team,” Morris said. “We are thrilled to have Patrick as part of our family and greatly appreciate what he has accomplished and look forward to seeing him take Capriotti’s to its full potential.”
