MINNEAPOLIS Caribou Coffee Co. Inc. said it has hired Timothy J. Hennessy, the former chief financial officer of travel-agency giant Carlson Wagonlit Travel, as its new CFO.
He fills the post vacated by George Mileusnic at the beginning of the year.
Hennessy also has been involved in acquisitions and strategic planning for Carlson Wagonlit parent Carlson Cos. Inc., the private conglomerate whose other holdings include the T.G.I. Friday’s and Pick Up Stix restaurant brands.
Carlson Wagonlit, based in Europe, annually provides $25 billion in travel-related services through a chain of franchised and company-operated offices in 150 nations. Hennessy served as executive vice president as well as CFO of the company.
Hennessy was the second “C”-level hire by Caribou in roughly five weeks. In early August, the coffeehouse chain announced the appointment of Michael Tattersfield as chief executive and president.
Caribou, based here, operates about 415 coffeehouses and franchises another 75 branches.
