Chili’s revs up college football Tailgate Tour

DALLAS Chili’s Grill & Bar will again be visiting college campuses this fall to give out prizes for trips and tickets to post-season football games.

The 2009 Tailgate Tour will visit 15 colleges and be looking for fans who incorporate Chili’s menu items or the chain’s pepper logo into their pre-game set ups. Prizes also include college merchandise and Chili’s gift cards.

Krista Gibson, senior vice president of brand strategy for Chili’s, said, “We’re expanding our reach and including several new interactive ways to engage our guests.” Those include a tent at the game sites to allow fans to register for the grand prizes.

Football fans can enter the contest from the comfort of their laptops at www.pepperinsomefun/tailgate, where the contest rules and pictures are available.

Chili’s, a division of Brinker International Inc., has 1,400 restaurants in 29 nations.
