Eat'n Parks bakes up gingerbread Smiley

PITTSBURGH Eat’n Park Restaurants is expanding its 23-year-old Smiley Cookie line with a gingerbread variety.

The gingerbread Smiley marks the first time the 76-unit-family-dining chain has added a flavor to its signature treat, which is normally a sugar cookie. However, Eat'n Park has offered the Smiley in various shapes and colors, such as round holiday-theme cookies with red and green icing and Christmas-tree-shaped cookies.

The gingerbread Smiley is available systemwide, Eat’n Park said. Like the original, the new cookie is baked fresh daily and hand-iced with an iconic smiley face.

Eat’n Park operates in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.
