CARROLLTON Texas T.G.I. Friday’s patrons can score some free eats if a punter kicks a football into the Dallas Cowboys' controversial video board during Sunday night's matchup with the New York Giants.
The Cowboys' new stadium in Arlington, Texas, has drawn criticism after a punter in a pre-season game hit the video board, which is considered the world’s largest high-definition TV and hangs 90 feet above the field.
So during Sunday night’s game, if a punter from either team hits the video board, Friday’s will treat all the fans watching in its 600 U.S. bars to a free order of green-bean fries.
There are green-bean limits: one order per person, only at the bar and valid for only the first time the punt hits the video board during the game.
Andrew Jordan, senior vice president of marketing for T.G.I. Friday’s, said, “Whether you’re a Dallas or New York fan, or just a football fan, we invite you to watch the game at T.G.I. Friday’s.”
Friday’s is a division of Carlson Restaurants Worldwide Inc.
