ORLANDO Fla. Hard Rock International will open a 41,000-square-foot flagship cafe on the Strip in Las Vegas at the new Showcase Mall development. The three-story location will feature a 700-seat restaurant, a live concert venue and the chain’s largest retail shop to date, with 3,364 square feet of floor space.
The second level will include a bar and main dining area with more than 7,000 square feet of space, as well as a 1,642-square-foot outdoor seating area with a deck overlooking the city. The location also will feature rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia from Hard Rock’s collection.
The new restaurant is expected to open in the summer of 2009.
Hamish Dodds, president and chief executive of Orlando-based Hard Rock, said in a statement: “Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world, and there is no better location than our new home on ‘the Strip.”
The original Las Vegas Hard Rock, a part of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, will remain in operation after the new location opens.
