ST. LOUIS In another nod to nostalgia, Hardee’s is featuring Orange Cream Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Shakes and Malts through mid-November.
The Creamsicle-like item is made from vanilla ice cream, orange-flavored syrup and milk and served with whipped topping in a clear cup with a domed lid. It sells for $2.89 in most markets.
Three existing flavors in Hardee’s shakes line — chocolate, vanilla and strawberry —remain on the permanent menu. The Orange Cream replaces the Chocolate Overload.
Hardee’s Food Systems, a subsidiary of CKE Restaurants of Carpinteria, Calif., has 1,905 franchised or company-operated restaurants.
