ROSEMEAD Calif. Panda Restaurant Group, based in Rosemead, Calif., is scheduled next week to open its 1000th restaurant and the company is also expected to surpass the milestone of $1 billion in sales this year.
Andrew’s Panda Inn is scheduled to open at the Universal Studios City Walk near Los Angeles July 25. It will be the sixth of the group’s full-service Panda Inn concepts and the first to open in 15 years.
Panda Restaurant Group brands include the quick-service Panda Express, which is expected to reach its 1,000th location this fall in Pasadena, and 27 quick-service Hibachi-San restaurants.
