VANCOUVER Wash. Ann Stone, a former marketing executive with Pizza Hut, Church’s Chicken and International Dairy Queen, has been named chief marketing officer for the Papa Murphy’s International take-and-bake pizza chain.
Stone most recently headed the launch of multiple global initiatives for Dairy Queen, including new-market ideas, service improvements and franchisee support. At Church’s she led the repositioning of the brand with the creation of a new advertising model, brand icons and packaging.
Stone also is the founder and chief executive of Tittabawassee LLC, an Atlanta-based firm specializing in restaurant marketing and strategy.
Papa Murphy’s has more than 1,000 units in 30 states and Canada. With Stone’s hiring, the chain will focus on growing and evolving the brand, said Clarice Turner, president and chief operating officer.
