THE COLONY Texas Pizza Inn Inc. has named Bo Czyz as director of operations, a new position for the 361-unit pizza chain.
Czyz most recently was an area director for Applebee's International Inc. and previously had worked at Pizza Hut.
"Bo is a great addition to our management team," said Tim Taft, Pizza Inn's president and chief executive. "He brings with him over 20 years of experience in the pizza industry and has an excellent record of personnel development and operations leadership."
Danny Meisenheimer, vice president of brand management for Pizza Inn, said Czyz's appointment reflects "a re-commitment by the brand to operational execution and success." Meisenheimer also said the company is renovating more than 80 restaurants. In addition, he said, a new prototype unit, debuted last year in Plano, Texas, opened three weeks ago in Boiling Springs, S.C.
