DENVER Quiznos is promoting a spicy version of its prime rib sandwich in the launch of a new advertising campaign themed “Food with a Twist.”
The new Southwestern-inspired Prime Rib Ranchero sandwich, available until the end of April, combines fire-roasted poblano peppers with chipotle mayo, layered with habanero and jalapeno pepperjack cheese, said Zach Calkins, vice president of culinary development for the 5,000-unit sandwich chain.
Quiznos purchased more than 25 acres worth of poblano peppers to supply customer demand, the company said.
Commercials promoting the new sandwich are narrated by Michael Clarke Duncan, who calls the item “Ranchero No Share-O” and “All Yours-O, Not Theirs-O.” The spots are part of a new campaign developed by Cliff Freeman and Partners.
