ORLANDO Fla. Red Lobster is expanding its Wood-Fire Grill menu with two limited-time offers for the summer.
The Wood-Grilled Lobster and Sweet and Spicy Shrimp features a wood-grilled split Maine lobster tail, spiced jumbo shrimp and crispy jumbo coconut shrimp. The meal is served over wild rice pilaf with a pi–a colada sauce for $24.99 in Chicago.
The Honey-Citrus Seafood Grill includes two skewers of jumbo shrimp and a skewer of sea scallops that are grilled over a wood fire and brushed with a honey-lemon glaze. The skewers are served with wild rice pilaf and priced at $18.99 in Chicago.
“Wood-fire grilling is the most contemporary preparation technique in the restaurant industry right now and it provides a strong quality cue for our guests,” Michael LaDuke, Red Lobster's senior executive chef, said in a statement.
Red Lobster, a division of Orlando-based Darden Restaurants Inc., has more than 680 locations in the United States and Canada. The restaurants were retrofitted with “wood-fire assist” grills last year, when the chain debuted the Wood-Fire Grill line.
