LOS ANGELES Red Mango said it has named Mark Archer chief financial officer as part of the frozen yogurt chain's continuing efforts to build management infrastructure after a private-equity buy earlier this year.
Archer previously was chief financial and administrative officer at Allied Cash Holdings LLC, where he raised more than $72 million in capital to fund store growth. His resume also includes stints with Coffee People Worldwide, Jamba Juice and Del Taco.
Red Mango chairman John Antioco said the hiring of Archer nearly completes the formation of the chain’s executive team following the $12 million investment by private-equity firm CIC Partners along with Antioco, a former chairman of Taco Bell Corp.
Earlier this year, Jean Birch, the former president of Romano’s Macaroni Grill and Corner Baker Cafe, was named Red Mango’s chief operating officer. Jim Notarnicola, former chief marketing officer at Blockbuster and 7-Eleven, was named head of the frozen yogurt chain's marketing division.
Dan Kim, Red Mango’s founder and a minority shareholder, remains president and chief executive.
