Nation’s Restaurant News (NRN) is excited to announce the four speakers who will be taking the stage as part of the Founders Forum at this year’s CREATE: The Event for Emerging Restaurateurs.
The founders who will take the main stage at CREATE are:
- Tim McEnery, founder and CEO, Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants
- Cameron Mitchell, founder and CEO, Cameron Mitchell Restaurants
- Nicole Tanner, founder, Swig
- Nicholas Stone, founder and CEO, Bluestone Lane
NRN’s editor in chief, Sam Oches, will moderate the Founders Forum session.
“We introduced Founders Forum last year as a way to introduce emerging brand founders in the audience to leaders who know exactly what it’s like to build a business from scratch,” Oches said. “These four founders are the perfect inspiration to CREATE attendees who are in the early days of scaling their own businesses, and they’ll provide practical advice for navigating the challenges that come with the job.”
Last year’s inaugural Founders Forum featured the founders of Sweetgreen, Crumbl Cookies, and Postino WineCafe.
The Founders Forum session is hosted like a late-night talk show, where the guests gradually join Oches until they’re all on stage enjoying a conversation together. Each founder will share the story of how they started their company and discuss how they’ve overcome challenges that have come up as they’ve scaled.
“The speakers on this year’s Founders Forum represent an incredible diversity of businesses, from fine dining to fast casual to drive-thru-only,” Oches said. “But they all have one very important thing in common: They’ve each been a part of their company from day one and know exactly what it takes to make your dream business a success.”
CREATE will be hosted at the Omni Nashville hotel this Oct. 9-11. Restaurant leaders can register for CREATE for free by clicking here.
