Einstein Bros. Bagels

Einstein Bros. Bagels was formed by what was Boston Chicken, now called Boston Market, in 1995, when the company was looking to get into the breakfast daypart and began acquiring bagel concepts, including Noah’s Bagels, based in Berkeley, Calif. The company later was called Einstein Noah Restaurant Group Inc. after an initial public offering in 2007.

The bagel concepts are known for their freshly baked bagels, but also specialty sandwiches and coffee. Einstein Noah was acquired by JAB Holding Co. in 2014 for $374 million, in what was the first wave of acquisitions that later included Panera Bread and Krispy Kreme.
