NRN presents Consumer Picks, a data-driven report on customer preference and restaurant brand strength. Data for this report is provided by market research firm Datassential. Find out more about the data here.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, Datassential went back to consumers in June, after the shutdown, to ask about loyalty again a second time.
This time, consumers were asked about brand devotion in a different way. The 11 brands in this gallery had the largest percentage of consumers who “agree” or “strongly agree” with the statement, “I will go out of my way to have food from this restaurant.”
We’ve highlighted here six limited-service brands (because of a tie in the No. 5 spot) and five full-service brands with the most loyal consumers during the pandemic. Two brands — In-N-Out Burger and Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse — were also on the pre-pandemic list, but the other eight brands are new.
