ALTOONA Pa. Sheetz Inc., with more than 350 convenience stores doing estimated annual systemwide prepared food-and-beverage sales exceeding $300 million, has fully deployed RedPrairie Corp.'s Site Operations software, the vendor said.
RedPrairie said also that its Execution Management software is being rolled out by Altoona-based Sheetz.
"The RedPrairie system has allowed us to improve how we manage our store and foodservice operations. We are now able to pinpoint issues at the corporate, store or item level," Jim Wenner, Sheetz director of information technology, said of Site Operations.
Site Operations provides users with a single, chainwide window into multiple aspects of their business, including cash handling, inventory and invoicing and foodservice management, according to Milwaukee-based RedPrairie.
Execution Management is described by RedPrairie as a tool to help plan and execute complex tasks between a company's headquarters and unit-level management, as well as determine and direct best practices among store employees. Wenner of Sheetz said his chain views the software as a means of providing "direction to our stores from a single source, and convey objectives clearly and succinctly" and, in doing so, will "ensure events and promotions are carried out in an efficient and uniform fashion."
