Slaymaker realigns following death of Morehouse

SALT LAKE CITY The Slaymaker Group, a franchisee of T.G.I. Friday’s and parent of the Winger’s Grill & Bar chicken-wing concept, has named Scott Slaymaker chief executive as part of a management realignment. The changes follow the death in late July of president and chief operating officer Donald Morehouse.

Morehouse had been the head of operations for the family-owned Slaymaker Group for more than a decade before he drowned while participating in a triathlon in Burley, Idaho, on July 26.

As president as well as chief executive, Scott Slaymaker will oversee all corporate operations and particular management responsibilities for the company’s eight T.G.I. Friday’s restaurants. The restaurants operate in Utah, Idaho and Oregon.

Eric Slaymaker will add chief executive to his title of president of Winger’s USA Inc. and its franchising arm, Winger’s Franchising Inc. Currently, there are nine company-operated Winger's units and 31 franchised locations.

Slaymaker also promoted Stefano Bronzati to vice president of operations for Winger’s USA. David Neves was named vice president of concept development for company-owned Winger’s stores, with the added responsibility of leading menu development for the entire chain.
