Chipotle Mexican Grill’s digital transactions now represent 50.1% of the fast-casual chain’s revenue as digital sales were up 133.9%, the company reported Wednesday in an earnings report for the first quarter ended March 31. Although this is not the first time Chipotle’s revenue tipped the scales toward majority-digital transactions — in Q2 2020, digital sales were 60.7% of orders — dining rooms were still mostly shuttered at that point.
