Scott Boatwright was officially named CEO of Chipotle on Monday, after serving as interim for four months following the departure of former CEO Brian Niccol. It was no surprise to any Chipotle watchers, as he was seen as a likely candidate to take the helm.

KFC is suing Church’s Texas Chicken over its use of “original recipe” in a new marketing campaign. KFC first trademarked the phrase in 1984, and claims Church’s is infringing “willfully and recklessly” on KFC’s legal rights.

Red Lobster is overhauling its menu. The new bill of fare will be 20% smaller, but will include nine new items, including the return of hush puppies, a fan favorite.

First Watch is buying more franchised stores. The breakfast, lunch and brunch chain has agreed to acquire 15 units and a 16th store currently under construction for $49 million.
