Papa Johns’ sales took a hit last quarter. The pizza chain’s same-store sales fell 6% in the third quarter. Pizza chain sales have been weak in the past two years as customers shift to other options, but Papa Johns’ sales underperformed its competitors.

Dutch Bros is apparently not hurting for traffic. The drive-thru beverage chain said its same-store sales increased 2.7%, more than it had expected, leading it to raise its expectations for the year.

Red Robin is turning to discounts after two years of resisting them. The burger chain is now offering weekday deals such as half-off kids’ meals on Wednesdays and $10 burgers Monday through Wednesday.
