This week was the week of the menu as chains welcomed consumers back from the holidays. Quick service and fast casual chains took to their menus this week between releasing value deals and scrapping menu items. Chick-fil-A removed chicken strips and other items in its menu test, Chipotle added a new green and Starbucks catered to vegans with alternate milks.
The biggest news? Yum! acquiring The Habit Burger for $375 million in a change for the company known for its large portfolio of quick service chains.
