Pharr replaces Bentley at WFF

MINNEAPOLIS The Women’s Foodservice Forum said Monday that chairwoman Linda Pharr had assumed day-to-day operation of the association following the departure of president Mary Bentley. The group indicated that a search would be conducted to find a permanent replacement for Bentley, with Pharr serving on an interim basis until then.

No reason was given for Bentley’s exit. She had served as president, a full-time executive position, for the past two years.

“As an organization grows, change becomes inevitable,” Pharr said in a statement. “We remain committed to our mission and expect our new president will build upon our solid foundation and deliver even more exceptional programming for our members.”

She cited the “tremendous progress” the WFF had made under Bentley’s leadership, and thanked her on behalf of the organization.

The WFF’s stated mission is “helping elevate women leaders.” Its membership includes more than 3,700 women and men from all facets of the foodservice industry.
