Jamba Juice will host a National Hiring Day event on March 27 in 80 locations across the country to recruit and hire young people for summer employment, the company said Monday.
The event will help Jamba Juice support its pledge to the Obama Administration’s 2012 Summer Jobs+ campaign to create more than 2,500 summer jobs.
“We know the importance of helping our youth gain skills and valuable work experience that is critical to their career success,” said Jamba Juice chairman, president and chief executive James D. White. “Summer is a busy season for our company, and with recent expansion into new markets we are in need of dedicated and qualified team members. We are honored to once again stand with the Obama Administration in their efforts to curb youth unemployment across the nation.”
Prospective employees can stop by a participating location on the day of the event from 2 p.m.–6 p.m. for an interview for regular or seasonal placements. Jobs listed include unit team members, store managers, and support center and regional management.
Jamba Juice recently said it would expand its freshly squeezed juice offerings, and also purchased specialty tea brand Talbott Teas.
The smoothie chain also participated in the Obama Administration’s Summer Jobs Initiative last year, hiring more than 2,500 young people for the season.
Jamba Juice has 750 company-owned and franchised units in the United States, and 19 international locations.
