MEMPHIS Tenn. The Marie Callender’s Restaurant and Bakery chain this week launched two promotions aimed at drawing in value-seeking customers of all ages.
Starting Tuesday, the 135-unit chain’s 90 corporate locations, which are mostly on the West Coast, began offering a “kids eat free” offer on Tuesdays and Saturdays. One free kid’s meal will be available per each adult entree purchased, officials said.
In addition, the chain on Thursday will introduce a new “Two Course Meal for Two People” for $18 available daily at corporate locations. The deal includes the choice of two entrees and two slices of pie -- a potential savings of up to $20.
Marie Callender's joins several other casual-dining brands offering bundled meals at discount, including Applebee's, Chili's and O'Charley's.
Designated entree options for Marie Callender's special include chicken alfredo, roasted turkey dinner, meatloaf, a turkey Caesar combination plate, carnitas quesadilla, the Frisco Burger, and country-fried steak. The entrees range in price from $5.99 to $13.99 and pies range from $3.89 to $4.95 per slice.
The “Two for Two” deal, however, is not applicable with the kid’s-eat-free offer, officials said, and it also doesn’t apply at the Marie Callender’s Grill variant.
Marie Callender’s is owned by Memphis, Tenn.-based Perkins & Marie Callender’s Inc., which also operates the Perkins Restaurant and Bakery chain.
