In a new ad, Applebee’s gives customers the chance to “#BeeFamous” by submitting Vine videos of their reactions to the casual-dining operator’s Under 550 Calories Menu. Customers who submit Vine videos are encouraged to use the #BeeFamous hashtag. Submitted Vine videos may be used in a future commercial.
“We’re always looking for ways to break the mold and engage with fans,” said Applebee’s president Mike Archer in a December release about the campaign. “The integration of social media and broadcast marketing is something we’ve never done before. It’s exciting to put the spotlight on the fans who show us love every day.”
