Domino’s offers half off online pizza orders

Restaurant brand says 50%-off menu deal runs through Sunday

Domino’s Pizza Inc. is offering 50% off all menu-priced pizzas ordered online through Jan. 19, the company said.

The Ann Arbor, Mich.-based pizza brand said the promotion is to observe the new year.

“The holidays are over, but to us, the party has just begun,” said Frank Garrido, Domino's chief restaurant officer, in a statement. “Domino’s is celebrating the new year by giving customers a deal that'll make their taste buds jump for joy. All pizzas are half off, so customers can enjoy any size pizza, with any type of crust and toppings, just the way they like.”

Domino’s said the 50%-off deal is available on all menu-priced pizzas ordered through www.dominos.com and Domino’s smartphone app.

For the third quarter ended Sept. 8, Domino’s income declined $800,000 to $146.9 million, or $4.19 per share, compared to $147.7 million, or $4.18 per share, in the same period a year ago. Revenues increase to $1.080 billion, up 5.1% from $1.027 billion in the year-ago period.

Same-store sales were up 3.1% at U.S. company-owned locations and up 3% at U.S. franchised restaurants.

Domino’s, founded in 1960, has more than 21,000 stores in more than 90 markets.
