Among new bundles being offered in the new year, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen this week debuted a new Game Day Bundle with 24 wings, three regular sides, and four dipping sauces for $24.99, the company said this week.
The division of Toronto-based Restaurant Brands International Inc. said the bundle is “perfect for Sunday watch parties during the playoff season.” It is available at participating locations.
Popeyes also this week introduced a new wing flavor, Louisiana Garlic, which pays homage pays homage to the brand’s hometown, New Orleans, which will host the Super Bowl for the 11th time next month.
The Louisiana Garlic chicken wings are marinated and tossed in a garlic-infused buttery sauce inspired by the Cajun flavors of Louisiana, Popeyes said.
The brand is also offering a new value promotion, charging $5 for three pieces of signature chicken.
For the third quarter ended Sept. 30, Restaurant Brands International, which also owns the Burger King, Tim Hortons and Firehouse Subs concepts, had 3,465 restaurants as well as international locations.
On Thursday, RBI said it had entered into a joint venture with Iuri Miranda, former CEO and board member of Zamp S.A. and master franchisee of Burger King and Popeyes in Brazil, to open 500 restaurants in that country. The first restaurant from the deal is expected later this year.
