Wingstop’s chief experience officer resigns

Stacy Peterson Androes leaves brand after more than 5 years

Stacy Peterson Androes has resigned as Wingstop’s Inc.’s chief experience officer after working at the chicken-wing brand for more than five years, a company spokesman said this week.

A spokesman for the Dallas-based fast-casual chicken wing brand said in an email, “Stacy has officially resigned from the organization to pursue other interests outside of the restaurant space.”

Wingstop had named Peterson Androes to the newly created experience officer position in July 2017, and she was responsible for leveraging guest feedback and insights as they apply to consumer-facing technologies, including the point-of-sale systems. 

Prior to that promotion, Peterson Androes had served as Wingstop’s chief information officer since August 2014. She joined the company as senior vice president of information technology in September 2013.

The company declined to provide additional information about the change or its plans for the role.

Wingstop is scheduled to release its fourth-quarter and full-year 2018 fiscal financial results Wednesday after the stock market closes.

For the third quarter ended Sept. 29, Wingstop’s net income rose 33.8% to $6.3 million, or 21 cents a share, from $4.7 million, or 16 cents a share, in the same period a year ago. Revenue in the quarter increased 15.5% to $38.2 million from $33.1 million in the prior-year period.

Domestic systemwide same-store sales rose 6.3% in the third quarter. 

As of Sept. 29, 2018, Wingstop had 1,215 restaurants systemwide. That included 1,085 restaurants in the United States, of which 1,059 were franchised restaurants and 26 were company-owned. The company had 130 franchised restaurants in nine other countries.
