Joe Adney named vice president, CMO of Farmer Boys

He replaces retiring Larry Rusinko, who had been with fast-casual chain since 2015

Former Black Bear Diner chief marketing officer Joe Adney has been named vice president and CMO of the fast-casual Farmer Boys chain.

Adney will lead marketing, menu innovation, advertising and digital marketing efforts for the Riverside, Calif.-based Farmer Boys, which operates about 100 units in California, Nevada and Arizona.

He will replace current vice president and CMO Larry Rusinko, who has retired after six and a half years with the company.

Adney, who joined Black Bear Diner in 2019, also previously worked at Shari’s Café + Pies, Baskin-Robbins, IHOP, Disney and Bob Evans Restaurants.
