Dine Brands Global Inc., parent to Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar, IHOP and Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, has named Sarah Cannon-Foster as chief people officer, the company said Monday.
Cannon-Foster will assume the role April 17, the Glendale, Calif.-based company said. She most recently served as vice president of human resources for U.S. Healthcare at Walgreens Boots Alliance.
Cannon-Foster is a veteran human resources leader with over 30 years of experience. Prior to Walgreens, Sarah spent 30 years at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, now Marriott International.
“Sarah’s extensive experience and success in leading human resources functions, particularly across the hospitality and services industries, makes her a key asset on our leadership team,” said John Peyton, Dine Brands CEO, in a statement. “We all look forward to working with and learning from Sarah in the months to come.”
At Walgreens Boots Alliance, Cannon-Foster led several initiatives, including supporting all functions in WBA’s newest business segment, U.S. Healthcare, a technology-enabled care model.

Dine Brands Global under its three brands has more than 3,400 restaurants in 16 countries and 338 franchisees as of Dec. 31.
