Yardbird launches competition showcasing various chicken sandwich interpretations

Yardbird’s eight locations have each launched their own interpretation of the chicken sandwich and the concept is inviting customers to vote for their favorite.

Yardbird, a 50 Eggs Hospitality Concept and James Beard Award semifinalist, is hosting a “Battle of the Bird” throughout July in which each of its eight locations is featuring their own interpretation of a fried chicken sandwich. The brand is inviting customers to vote for their favorite creation via Yardbirds’ Instagram account (@yardbirdrestaurants) in celebration of National Fried Chicken Day, July 6.

Each location’s offering is wildly different, reiterating a trend we’ve started to notice at Nation’s Restaurant News in which versatile, high-demand chicken sandwiches are iterating well beyond the 2019 Popeyes sandwich launch that ignited a bevy of copycats.
