Taco John’s announced this week that it is rolling out catering in collaboration with ezCater. The channel will be supported by a new catering menu that includes the chain’s signature Build Your Own Nacho and Taco Bar and dessert options such as churros and Mexican Donut Bites. The menu also includes a selection of customizable Breakfast Burrito Boxes.
“We want to expand the occasions where our guests can enjoy Taco John’s. We want to be a part of their special occasions and life events where we are a fresh, flavorful, and delicious part of their celebrations, which is why we are so excited to be launching our catering program. We hope to expand our reach and attract new lovers of the Taco John’s brand,” chief executive officer and president Heather Neary said in a statement.
Catering orders can be placed on Taco John’s or ezCater’s websites. Depending on location, Taco John’s restaurants can offer pickup and delivery options.
“It’s important for us to meet and feed our guests where they are, whether that be at the office, a family gathering, or a local sporting event,” Taco John’s director of digital engagement Korey Love Taylor said in a statement.. “Having the opportunity to be a part of gatherings with our Build Your Own Nacho Bar and Taco Bar is sure to bring Taco John’s to top of mind when thinking of dining out or ordering catering again.”
Taco John’s joins a growing list of chains that have added catering recently. In the past several months, Bojangles, Habit Burger & Grill, Freddy's, and Perkins have added the channel. Red Robin, Carrabba’s, El Pollo Loco, Noodles & Company, Chuy’s, Sweetgreen, and more are also pushing the gas on catering. According to Expert Market Research, the catering market in the U.S. reached nearly $73 billion in 2023 and is expected to increase at a compound annual growth rate of 6.2% through 2032.
