LAKE FOREST Calif. Del Taco announced the promotion of two executives on Tuesday. Steve Brake has been named vice president, treasurer and controller, and Pete Honer has been named vice president of business insights and planning.
Previously holding the title of controller, Brake will continue to support both Del Taco and parent company Sagittarius Brands Inc., which is based in Nashville, Tenn.
Honer, who was previously director of financial planning, will be responsible for market planning for new restaurants, developing and leveraging consumer insights and establishing a marketing analytics capability.
Del Taco said it also plans to recruit a director of consumer insights, a new senior-level position, with responsibility for developing and using research tools, plans and processes for growth.
In addition, Del Taco said that Janet Erickson, executive vice president of purchasing, has added oversight of product development to her responsibilities. The company said it is looking for a senior director of menu development.
Del Taco operates or franchises more than 500 restaurants in 16 states. Sagittarius Brands also is the parent of the Captain D's quick-service chain.
