Farmer Boys Foods Inc., parent to the Farmer Boys chain, has named industry veteran Tammy Johns to the new position of chief people officer, the company has announced.
Riverside, Calif.-based Farmer Boys, which has 91 locations in California and Nevada, said Johns most recently was vice president of human resources for the Culver City, Calif.-based Lemonade Group.
Prior to Lemonade, Johns (left) was in human-resources positions with franchise holding groups that oversaw Burger King, Chili’s Grill & Bar and TGI Friday’s restaurants.
“Tammy’s vast experience with recruiting, employee retention and people development will be a valuable asset to our company,” said Karen Eadon, Farmer Boys president, in a statement. “I’m looking forward to partnering with her to make sure we are infusing our culture and values throughout the company.”
Farmer Boys aid Johns will be responsible for people planning, organizational development, strategic learning and the administration of human resources policies and practices.
“I look forward to working with Farmer Boys’ team of dedicated employees, franchisees and vendors to foster an environment where our team members can excel and continue the tradition of hard work and hospitality,” Johns said.
Farmer Boys was founded in 1981 in Riverside.
