Spicy food remains polarizing. Some people love it, and some really don’t, but for those who do like their chiles and hot sauce, their threshold for it is increasing in many cases. So Schlotzsky’s is taking their signature hot sauce and adding it to their signature sourdough for that extra kick. Smokey Bones, for its part is sprinkling crushed spicy Takis rolled tortillas onto some of its menu items.
Pieology has a new pizza named for Calabria, the region of Italy known for the spiciest food, and that pie doesn’t just have spicy pepperoni, but jalapeño peppers and Mike’s Hot Honey.
