Popeyes teams with DoorDash for wing truck tour

The quick-service restaurant brand will tout a Tailgating Bundle on its app

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, which recently introduced a new Sweet ‘N Smokey Chipotle sauce flavor, is teaming with DoorDash to highlight tailgating and football watching parties.

The Miami-based division of Restaurant Brands International Inc. is offering 25% off its Tailgate Bundle nationwide on Saturdays and Sundays during the football season.

The Tailgating Bundle will be offered starting Oct. 5. It features 24-piece wings (bone-in or boneless) with up for four flavor selections, three regular sides, and four dipping sauces at 25% off. Prices vary by location.

Football fans can also enter for a chance to win and order a Popeyes x DoorDash Wing Truck at their location. Details of the wing truck offer are at PopeyesOfficialWingTruck.com.

Popeyes will be taking its wings on the road with the Popeyes x DoorDash Wing Truck Tour. Stops include:

  • Oct. 12 – Baton Rouge, La.
  • Oct. 19 – Greensboro, N.C.
  • Oct. 26 – Atlanta
  • Nov. 2 – Tallahassee, Fla. (HBCU)
  • Nov. 16 – Athens, Ga.
  • Nov. 30 – Columbus, Ohio

“At Popeyes, we know the excitement of game day goes beyond the field. It’s also about bringing people together to enjoy great food and great moments. And, as the ‘Official Wing of Watching Football,’ we’re committed to being a part of every fan’s experience, no matter where they choose to watch,” Bart LaCount, Popeyes chief marketing officer, said in a statement.

Popeyes added wings to its permanent menu last November.

Popeyes, founded in 1972, has more than 4,000 restaurants in the U.S. and around the world.
