When faced with challenges like those we’ve navigated in the last year, the standard playbook isn’t going to cut it. The status quo is no longer good enough, and tools and tactics that worked in the past simply don’t meet today’s new challenges.
In times like these, we look not just to the leaders in our industries, but to the visionaries: those minds that think beyond what has been done before and what’s happening now, and conceive of the revolutionary changes in strategy and process that will forever alter our expectations as consumers.
As we head into this new year during which innovation and change will be absolutely paramount, we have sought a way to showcase the masterminds leading some of the most dynamic, exciting, and innovative brands in hospitality and convenience, and to highlight their thought leadership at a time when we can all benefit from it. The result is a new quarterly web series called “PX Think Beyond.”
“Think Beyond” features conversations with the C-suite leaders who are making waves across their industries. At Paytronix, we’re lucky enough to work with these visionaries every day. Together, our teams create innovative and successful strategies for understanding guest behavior and driving incremental visits and spend. The Paytronix team is constantly inspired by the questions these leaders ask and their relentless drive to improve.
They can be found at the head of the top brands, those that lead the industry and set the bar for others to follow. Imagine being a fly on the wall in the boardrooms, offices, and restaurant booths where these consequential conversations take place. “PX Think Beyond” is meant to emulate those conversations, making this an invaluable opportunity for any leader, current or aspiring.
These pioneers sit down with restaurant insider Arjun Sen to talk about their successful ideologies and visions for the future. The first episode in the “PX Think Beyond” series, premiering Jan. 26, features Blaine Hurst, former chief executive of Panera Bread, in conversation with Paytronix President Andrew Robbins.
In the episode, Hurst demonstrates his tenacity for always questioning what’s possible – he shared that he never leaves a conversation without having learned something – and shares his vision for the future of restaurants, where experience still must always come first.
For his part, Robbins’ future involves taking the restaurant experience to a new level and putting the power into the hands of the guests, as they choose their own paths. With this process will come tremendous innovation in which brands rethink their promise and forge new molds for success.
“Listening to Blaine Hurst and Andrew Robbins having a casual conversation about where the industry is going and how to think was a truly once-in-a-lifetime event,” said Sen, who, as host, finds himself with the opportunity to learn firsthand from these industry heavyweights.
“I was struck by the magnitude of the opportunity, as there were mega-nuggets at every second of the conversation. Their individual thoughts and the interactions made it a rare and must-listen opportunity for everyone who is ready to break the glass barrier and make it big in the industry. Just pull in the fourth seat and listen and have a blast!”
Sen is the CEO of ZenMango and a former Fortune 500 executive who led the 3,000-unit restaurant chain Papa John’s to four years of record growth. He is the celebrated author of the book “Customer Karma” and a highly sought-after international keynote speaker. His podcast series “Secrets to Win Big”® has a rapidly growing global following.
Listeners are sure to leave the conversation feeling excited, invigorated, and inspired to tackle what will come next.
We invite you to join us on Jan. 26 to learn from these hospitality masterminds. Pull up your own proverbial chair and hear what some of the top trailblazers in the industry are thinking. New episodes will be available quarterly. You’re certain to come away with a new perspective and fresh ideas to future-proof your brand.
