Subway has started the year by offering new Meal of the Day bundles, featuring a six-inch sub for $6.99 or a footlong for $9.99 with a choice of two cookies or a bag of chips and a small fountain drink.
The quick-service brand, with offices in Miami and Shelton, Conn., is offering special sandwiches each day.
The inaugural run includes a Cold Cut Combo (Monday), All-Pro Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki (Tuesday), Meatball Marinara (Wednesday), new Baja Chipotle Chicken (Thursday), Tuna (Friday), the Ultimate B.M.T. (Saturday), and the Philly (Sunday).
The brand said it will refresh the promotional lineup every few months.
“Subway’s new Meal of the Day showcases the variety of better-for-you ingredients across our entire menu, our signature subs, and our definition of value – where you shouldn’t have to sacrifice quality for an affordable price,” Doug Fry, president of Subway North America, said in a statement. “Whether dining on-the-go to fuel an active lifestyle or enjoying the moment after a long day, Subway has made ordering a satisfying and tasty meal a whole lot easier.”
Along with the new Meal of the Day, one of Subway’s most popular sauces, Baja Chipotle, is returning with new subs in the Baja Bliss Collection.
Subway also said it is bringing back its Miss Vickie’s Baja Chipotle potato chips, inspired by the sauce’s flavors. Like the rest of the Baja Bliss collection, they are available for a limited time.
Subway has nearly 37,000 restaurants in more than 100 countries and territories. The brand is owned by Atlanta-based Roark Capital.
