This week Pizza Hut introduced Big Pizza Sliders, 3.5-inch miniature pies with a variety of toppings.
The Plano, Texas-based division of Yum! Brands Inc. said in a statement that the offering is “all about customization.”
The mini pizzas are offered nine to a box for $10, or three for $5, and customers can choose up to three "recipe combos" with up to three toppings each, according to a press release from Pizza Hut.

To promote the new offering, Pizza Hut will offer free mini pies in pepperoni and cheese varieties for carry-out or dine-in at participating locations from 4-7 p.m. local time on Tuesday.
Kurt Kane, chief marketing officer for Pizza Hut, said it would be one of the largest product giveaways in the company’s history. “America now has a chance to get a free taste of our new Big Pizza Sliders,” he said.
The menu item was promoted in Sunday’s pre-Super Bowl telecast on CBS, and the launch is accompanied by a soft-drink promotion linked to prizes with the console-gaming company Virgin Gaming.
Pizza Hut, a subsidiary of Louisville, Ky.-based Yum, has more than 10,000 restaurants in 90 nations. The division also operates about 4,000 Wingstreet locations.
