Chick-fil-A has modified the spicy chicken sandwich that it introduced in June to offer a spicy chicken biscuit at breakfast, starting Jan. 10.
The spicy chicken biscuit is priced at $2.25 a la carte and $4.09 as part of a combo meal with a beverage and side item.
Woody Faulk, Chick-fil-A’s vice president of brand strategy and design, said the new item was in response to customer requests for a spicy breakfast item.
“Customers began asking for a spicy version of our hero breakfast offering, the Chick-fil-A Chicken Biscuit, as soon as our spicy chicken sandwich hit menu boards in June, and the demand for spicy products in general continues to grow,” he said in a statement.
The chain is promoting the new breakfast item by offering it for free to guests who visit getspicychicken.com starting on Dec.27. Guests must reserve their biscuits to be picked up at a specific unit and redeem them from Jan. 3 through Jan. 8.
Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A said it opened 81 restaurants in 2010 and will end the year with 1,535 locations.
