ORLANDO Fla. Hard Rock International has named John Galloway chief marketing officer for its 159 venues.
Galloway succeeds Sean Dee, who left last year to become chief marketing officer for AEG Worldwide in Los Angeles.
At Hard Rock, Galloway will oversee marketing efforts for the company’s 129 cafes and 12 hotel-casinos, including live music, philanthropy, memorabilia, artist relations, sponsorships, promotions and special events.
“John brings strong branding expertise and substantial global operations experience to Hard Rock,” Hamish Dodds, president and chief executive of Hard Rock International, said in a statement Tuesday.
Galloway most recently worked for PepsiCo, where he held various executive posts with the Gatorade, Izze and Mountain Dew brands. Prior to joining PepsiCo, he worked at Tracey Locke Partnership and Young & Rubicam.
Hard Rock International has cafes and hotel-casinos in 54 nations. It said it plans to open new hotel-casinos this year in Singapore and the Dominican Republic.
