ST. LOUIS Hardee’s is featuring a Pork Chop ‘N’ Gravy Biscuit breakfast sandwich for a limited time in the burger chain’s latest nod to Southern food.
The item consists of a breaded, boneless pork chop and sausage gravy on a biscuit, a variation on the Pork Chop Biscuit that Hardee’s offered as a limited-time offer several years ago. It will be sold at participating restaurants for a suggested price of $2.99 or in a combo for $4.59 with hash rounds and a beverage.
The introduction of the sandwich follows the promotion of a Chicken Fillet Biscuit sandwich. That item, along with the Country Ham Biscuit, are now permanently on the menus of most Southeast units, said spokeswoman Jenna Petroff.
McDonald’s has also embraced Southern staples with its introduction of the Southern Style Chicken Biscuit earlier this year and the addition of sweet tea.
Hardee’s franchises, licenses or operates 1,917 restaurants and is a wholly owned subsidiary of CKE Restaurants Inc., which also owns Carl’s Jr. restaurants.
