Popeyes unveils lemonade platform this week

Chicken brand also offers new beverage free in the “I Don’t Know Meal” promotion its app and online

Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen will introduce a menu of lemonade beverages on Thursday and promote them as part of its “I Don’t Know Meal” offering.

The chicken division of Toronto-based Restaurant Brands International Inc. is launching both a classic lemonade and a strawberry lemonade, both of which come in chilled and frozen varieties.

“These delicious new beverages are made with cane sugar and real strawberry,” the company said in a news release. “They also make a perfect pairing with classic Popeyes menu items like our iconic chicken sandwich, signature chicken or tenders.”

As part of the new lemonade offering, Popeyes is offering the new drink free in its “I Don’t Know Meal,” which includes a chicken sandwich, that’s available on the brand smartphone app or online.

Popeyes said the meal is name for the times a significant other replies with “I don’t know” to the question of “What do you want to eat?”

The “I Don’t Know Meal” is available now at participating U.S. restaurants for a limited time. Price at and participation of franchise units might vary.

As of March 31, Restaurant Brands International had 3,495 Popeyes units. The company also owns the Burger King and Tim Hortons quick-service brands.
