Chili's Grill & Bar has introduced 11 new “3 for Me” lunch combinations that start at $10.99, the company said Tuesday.
The Dallas-based division of Brinker International Inc. said the lunch combinations feature chips and salsa, choice of entrée and a non-alcoholic drink, starting at the $10.99 price point.
The combinations are available Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. local time at participating locations, the company said.
Entrée choices include, among others, the Big Smasher Burger, Chili's Chicken Crispers, and the Chipotle Chicken Fresh Mex Bowl.
"We believe that our 3 For Lunch Combos are not only better quality but offer bigger portions and more variety than what you'll find in fast food," George Felix, Chili's chief marketing officer, said in a statement.
"This extension of our 3 For Me menu to lunch continues to deliver great value in every sense of the word,” Felix said. “We compared our entrées against what's available in fast food, and we believe that the Chili's 3 For Lunch Combos stand out – from the quality we offer, to the abundance of food and the price point.”
To promote the new lunch menu, Chili’s is challenging professional eating champion, Joey Chestnut,
On Tuesday, Oct. 1, the results of Chestnut's showdown of man vs. food will be unveiled. If he can defeat one of Chili's 3 For Lunch Combos, he will win the 3 for Lunch Golden Basket Belt, which grants him bragging rights and lunch money for a year.
If Chestnut loses, Chili's will offer its guests the chance to win the 3 for Lunch Golden Basket Belt, including a year of free 3 For Lunch Combos.
Viewers can watch Chestnut take on a Chili's 3 For Lunch Combo on X (@chilis on the platform formerly known as Twitter) on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 10 a.m. CDT to see if he or a guest will win the Chili's 3 for Lunch Golden Basket Belt.
Chili’s has nearly 1,600 restaurants in 27 countries and two territories.
