ARC Group Inc., parent to Dick’s Wings & Grill and other brands, has expanded the duties of Seenu Kasturi, chairman and chief financial offer, to include the CEO role, the company said Wednesday.
The Jacksonville, Fla.-based full-service company, which also owns the Fat Patty’s brand, said Richard Akam, who had previously been CEO, will retain his role as chief operating officer.
“In this new capacity as CEO,” Kasturi said in a statement, “I look forward to accelerating our growth strategy through carefully selected and strategic acquisitions, where we can acquire undervalued assets at attractive multiples and benefit from the tremendous operating synergies.”
ARC, formerly known as American Restaurant Concepts, bought the four-unit Fat Patty’s in August and is in the process of acquiring Tilted Kilt.
“We look forward to the continued leadership of Rick in his role as chief operating officer,” Kasturi said.
Kasturi has served as ARC Group’s chairman and CFO since January 2017, and he served as the company’s president from January 2017 until his appointment as its CEO.
ARC Group’s Dick’s Wings has 23 locations, with four of those company-owned, and three company-owned concession units in Florida and Georgia. The company’s Fat Patty’s concept has four locations in West Virginia and Kentucky.
